Softball Ireland will send a representative Coed Slowpitch team to the BSF World Series in London this September. Ireland competed at last year’s World Series and finished 11th out 14 teams. The goal for this year’s team is to improve on that position.
The traveling-team of 16 includes a selection from those who played for Ireland at the 2022 European Championships in Slovenia. In addition, the coaching crew have added a number of experienced players who were not in Slovenia. Also included are several players who have not yet represented Ireland at this level.
The broad range of experience, is intended to create a platform for the team to be as competitive as possible at the World Series while gaining much-needed tournament experience as a group
