Indoor Softball Tournaments 2016 & 2017 Dates Announced – Sign Up Now
The 2016 WIST, Winter Indoor Softball Tournament, will take place on Saturday October 29, 2016 in ALSAA, Dublin Airport .
DIST Dublin Indoor Softball Tournament will take place on Saturday 28th January 2017
The cost of each tournament will be €120 per team and umpires will be provided but you will still have to score a couple of games.
To enter a team please forward your team name and contact details to brian@softball.ie and arrange to have €60 deposit per tournament (or the full amount if you want) transferred to the account detailed below on or before Friday 14th October. If you want to send a cheque let me know brian@softball.ie
Teams who played in the January 2016 tournament will have first option on places in the tournament.
This year we are offering a discount for entering both tournament now, with a reduced cost of €220 for both which must be paid in advance of the October 29 tournament.

Once all teams have been confirmed the schedule will be sent out in the week of the tournament.

Vacancy: Softball Ireland National Team Slo-Pitch Manager
Softball Ireland (SI) is seeking to appoint a dedicated Slo-Pitch National Team Manager who will assist in developing, leading and delivering the Slo-pitch element of the Softball Ireland 2017-2020 High Performance Plan and Performance Targets for the 2017 and 2019 European Championships campaign and beyond. The National Team Manager will report directly to the High Performance Commission. He/she will be responsible for leading and managing a team of dedicated High Performance Coaches and Support Staff including a National Slo-Pitch Head Coach, to deliver on the SI High Performance Vision. Softball Ireland Announce Forum on the Future of the Game
Softball Ireland have today announced that a Forum on the future development of Softball in Ireland will be held on September 24, 2016 at 1230 in the Terenure Sports Grounds.
The purpose of the forum is to provide members an opportunity to discuss what is working in the sport, what is not and consider way’s to promote and develop the game of Softball in Ireland. In advance of the forum each club will receive a survey to assist in assessing the current state of the Game in Ireland.
We would encourage as many players/ex-players from all divisions to attend.
